“My son was diagnosed with verbal dyspraxia at age 5 and has received speech therapy since 18 months old. This diagnosis is particularly challenging with no quick fix just a long road of speech therapy ahead. When my son met Susie (his third and final speech therapist) he was not understandable to many people, with many challenges including inconsistent speech errors, difficulty producing sounds and difficulty of transitions between sounds.
Susie’s help has been exceptional. Susie’s focus on all areas of his speech including the improvement of speech sounds in addition to his overall communication, is truly remarkable. He is now finishing speech therapy just short of his 11th birthday and is now understandable. He is a different boy from where he was thanks to Susie, and his hard work of perseverance and continuous therapy.
